Shea Body Butter

Sadly the product packaging has changed and I found it hard to select the correct product on the shelf. The Body Butter is so similar to the Body Scrub. When I got it home I found that it is no longer made in the UK - hence the new package design. This is a bad move for those of us who want to support British industry. This is also why it smells different to the previous version. What a shame. I was a regular purchaser of this range of Body Butter for me and my friends but I feel this will not be the case in future.

This product is nowhere near as nice as the original Shea Butter I have used for years, the perfume and texture is not as good, not sure it’s as moisturising as the original, I won’t be buying it again.

This rebrand was a terrible mistake. I’ve used the previous iteration for years without issue and my entire family loved it. This new body butter is horribly drying and quite frankly made all of our skin dry, itchy and patchy. It’s the worst and couldn’t finish it. We all hate this cream. If you had a hand in creating this monstrosity please go back to the original formula. It was perfect. This one has an airy consistency, isn’t spreadable nor does it absorb into the skin quickly. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It’s a shame you’ve gone the same route as the Body Shop. You’ve taken a great product and reformulated and made it worse! Don’t buy this save your money

I have been using this product for years as it was the best body cream I could find and really luxurious and nourishing and well worth the money. I'm so disappointed that M&S have changed both the packaging and the product. I don't know what they have done but the consistency has changed and the scent and unfortunately I won't be buying it any more.

Oh dear M and S. You have changed the ingredients of the Shea body butter and the packaging. It now includes coconut oil and now stinks of it. The texture has also changed. It was lovely before and had a nice smell of Shea Butter. Please change it back to the original version. Until then I will go into The Body Shop.

I simply LOVE Shea Body Butter! It's smooth and lasts. It also smells wonderful!

This product seems less buttery than its predecessor. It feels like something has been changed in the recipe. I have sensitive dry skin and the old one was better for me. I agree with the other reviewers impossible to read poor packaging. It reminds me of tins in the supermarkets where the label fell off, so were ultra cheap because it could be anything. I will probably try the coconut but if that is not as buttery I'll be off to a different store.

I agree with the previous reviewer about the packaging, it’s awful, you cannot read it, it’s so difficult to see. Why change, what was perfectly ok in the old packaging. Sometimes change is not good and this is one of those occasions. The product itself is very good and I have been buying it for years.
