There’s no need to wait until the big day to get together with family and friends to enjoy some delicious Christmas food and drinks. Begin the most wonderful time of the year in truly tasty style with these menu ideas and cooking tips
It's not all about the turkey this Christmas: if you're feeding a crowd, our new Collection the perfect roast beef – available in store or online via our Christmas Food to Order service – is the ultimate crowd-pleaser.
Our M&S food experts have created it to be completely foolproof, with 30-day matured beef and a moreish roast beef butter, which creates spot-on succulence and a delicious flavour. It's super easy to cook, and stays perfectly pink in the middle, every time.
Simply served thinly sliced with some lemon-dressed winter greens, roast potatoes and a little mustard or horseradish, it's the ultimate fuss-free centrepiece. Use leftovers in a sprightly salad with rocket and pomegranate, or sizzle with M&S fajita seasoning and dish up on tacos with some avocado.
If you've got a crowd coming, a plate of bubbling, melty cheese with some carefully cooked crudités is guaranteed to go down a treat when your guests arrive.
Available in store, our taste of the Isles cheese fondue is made with a blend of St Giles cheese, tangy Cornish Cove cheddar, and rich double Gloucester, plus a splash white wine for added depth of flavour.
Instead of the usual celery sticks and baguette, try it served with golden whole-roasted new potatoes with a sprinkling of sea salt, and roasted baby carrots tossed in lemon juice. A glass of soft, rounded rioja works a treat alongside.
Serve guests a glass of spicy mulled wine when they arrive, which means your home will smell like Christmas. Find a brilliant ready-made version in our Foodhall, as well as packs of mulling spices, which you can heat with red or white wine, cider or apple juice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and fresh cranberries.
It wouldn't be Christmas without bubbles, and our Conte Priuli Oro prosecco, in a beautiful golden bottle, is as sparkly on the outside as it is on the inside. Enjoy it alongside your canapés or dessert.
For a special wine to serve with dinner, try our Macon Villages – available in store or as a case online. Dry and creamy, with a hint of apple and peach, it works well with rich festive dishes.
For a fast, festive dessert that's super easy to whip up for guests, this trifle cream affogato is brimming with the flavours of Christmas and takes just a few minutes to prepare.
