Product Description

This very rare vintage sherry is full of intense nutty aromas over a lusciously sweet palate with great concentration and length.

Made exclusively from late-harvested Palomino grapes grown in the hallowed ‘sherry triangle’ of southwest Spain, this special wine is one of the small number of añada (single vintage) sherries still made today. In contrast to the solera system that produces most of today’s sherries, this wine is made to a more traditional method that predates the solera blending approach. Añada sherries are made from a single harvest of grapes and are not topped-up with younger wines like normal sherries, so they age and oxidise faster. However, because of the way they age, añada sherries tend to be made with the best quality and richest grape musts (this wine is made with late harvested grapes, which have a higher concentration of sugars) to enable the wines to develop gently as they age in their casks, giving them more complex flavours.
