Book & Shop FAQs

  • Book & Shop allows you to reserve a slot online to shop in your local store. You can choose a time that suits you and you won’t need to queue on arrival. We will be listening carefully to customer feedback on the scheme.

    This is an important part of our efforts to make shopping easier for our all our customers to help you shop with confidence during this unprecedented time.

  • You can reserve a slot online to shop in-store and then visit the store at your chosen time. Book and Shop means you won’t need to join the queue to shop in-store, should there be one. Please note that in line with Government guidelines, only one person will be allowed per booking slot.

  • In line with Government guidelines, social distancing means some of our stores may have queues, particularly at busy times. Book & Shop will help us to manage the number of customers in a store across the day and help you shop with confidence during this unprecedented time.

  • Please click here for the list of stores available to book and shop. You can reserve a slot online and visit the store to shop at your chosen time.

  • At this time, Book & Shop is focused on our Foodhalls but you can also pick up Click & Collect orders during your time slot.

  • The easiest way to book your slot is by clicking here. Search for your local store using your postcode or store name, then select your chosen store to book.

  • The number of slots available will vary from store to store and is based on a range of factors, including the size of the store.

  • You can cancel or amend your Book & Shop slot at any time using the link provided on the booking confirmation email. Open your email confirmation and click on the link provided to cancel or amend the day and time.

  • Yes. However, in line with Government guidance and in order to maintain social distancing, there may be a short queue. Customers who use Book & Shop will not need to queue.

  • Booking a slot removes the need to join the queue, should there be one.

  • If you cannot book a slot online, please call our Customer Service team who will be happy to help. You’ll find our contact details here. When calling our Customer Service team, please say ‘Book a shopping slot’ when prompted, and we will put you through to the correct team.

    You will need to provide an email address to confirm the booking.

    Alternatively you can speak to our in-store colleagues who will be able to book a future visit.

  • You can call our Customer Service team who will be happy to arrange your slot. You’ll find our contact details here. When calling our Customer Service team, please say ‘Book a shopping slot’ when prompted, and we will put you through to the correct team. Alternatively, please speak to a colleague in store.

  • Once you are in the store, you can carry out your shopping as you would normally in the time it would normally take.

  • Book & Shop will help to distribute the number of customers in a store across the entire day, meaning fewer customers will have to queue.

  • On every hour and half hour, from open until close.

  • In the current climate, we are restricting pick up of Christmas Food to Order to one customer per household. However for customers who require assistance to shop, stores may be able to accommodate an additional person from their household to help. This will be at the store’s discretion to determine if a customer requires assistance, so please ring the store if you need any assistance for your collection.
