MY WEEK WITH M&S

Follow style influencer, mum of two and Instagram star Kyree Harvey of @misskyreeloves as she joins Marks & Spencer for a week of fun in London, previewing and wearing the new spring collection

Hello, London

“I absolutely love London. I’ve been here quite a few times before because my husband is English, but this time we’ve also been exploring the Kent coast and English castles. I’ve been wearing M&S dresses all week, mainly with trainers because we’ve been doing touristy things, but I’ve still felt trendy and fancy. I particularly love this yellow floral midi dress. The fabric is perfect for spring, so I’m looking forward to bringing it back to Australia. I’ve teamed it with a belt to give me a bit more shape, but I know that without it, it would be perfect for wear during maternity because it has a relaxed shape. It’s also breastfeeding-friendly. Dresses can be hard to wear as a new mum, but this one has accessible buttons through the front.”

Looks to love

“I’ve tried to step outside the box a little with my style choices this week. I usually stick to wearing jeans and a white shirt, so it’s nice to have been able to experiment with pops of colour and accessorise with belts and bags, dressing up things I would normally dress down. A swing dress though is something I would wear all the time. I love the boxy cut. This one has sleeves, so it’s great for spring, but the short length means it can also be worn right through the summer in Australia.

“I’ve also been spoiling the kids. I’m passionate about M&S kidswear, especially as it’s made using cotton that’s been sustainably sourced. And it’s good quality. Wash after wash, it’s stays intact, doesn’t lose its shape or fade. I really love the Peter Rabbit range. As soon as you say Peter Rabbit, you think of England.”

The best of what’s new

“My favourite piece in the spring collection is the aviator jacket. I could wear it back home with something light underneath, because there are days when it still gets cold. But I also love pieces like this leopard-print dress, which are always going to be on trend. I’ve dressed it up with ochre court shoes and a nude clutch bag, but you could also wear it with a denim jacket and trainers. All M&S shoes are in fact amazing. And they’re so comfortable. These courts have a little heel on them, and I don’t even feel like I’m wearing heels.

There’s also a Seventies vibe going on with the new M&S collection, which I can bring back to Australia. The snakeskin accessories are so stylish without being overpowering. On really hot summer days, I’ll be wearing the loose, light-coloured dresses.”

Dressed to chill

“My trip has been amazing but I’m looking forward to getting back into pyjamas, as it’s been fun but exhausting! All my nightwear is from M&S. I love the feel and the quality. I’m a mum and work from home, so comfort is really important to me. Plus, when you’re sleeping, you don’t want to rip off clothes because they ride up or irritate. This pretty star-print pair is my new favourite. Once the kids have gone to bed, I’ll have a shower and then sit down in these pyjamas with a cup of tea. And they’re such a good price, more affordable than styles back home. I’ve had a sneak peek of M&S’s new nightwear line and can’t wait to shop all the pieces as they’re so soft and silky.”
