Sequin Embellished Velvet Dress

I was so disappointed with this dress, it is rather short in the body for someone of 5ft 8ish. It is a good weight and is fully lined but the neck finish leaves a little to be desired.

This dress is in a league of its own compared to other flimsy sequin dresses. It's well made & excellent quality! Another reviewer said arms were tight, I didn't find this at all. It looks & feels a lot more expensive than it is, fully lined so its not clingy & doesn't crease. The sequins are shimmery but not tacky looking. I'd buy another if they did it silver, gold or red!

I usually buy size 8 or 10 at M&S. After reading one of the reviews I decided to order sizes 10 and 12. The dress is gorgeous, just perfect for going between bars and feeling warm yet sexy and stylish. Even better I got the dress for half price on the gift weekend. Cannot wait to wear it for my Christmas parties!!!

This is a beautiful dress; really great quality; well made; would highly recommend as it is very 'classy' looking, however, as others have said it is a fitted dress and I would usually wear a 10 in M&S but have returned and ordered a 12. By the way 10 came to mid-thigh / above knee and I am (just a pich off) 5' 5". Fingers crossed it will fit as it is really lovely and with the gifting weekend offer, extremely goo value!

I ordered this as looked a very classy dress with the rarity of long flattering sleeves. Very nice to look at but very heavily lined which makes it bulky and very warm. This is fine if you're not wearing a coat or going between bars. The long sleeves were lined the full length with the same lining as the dress. This made them very tight to get your arm down, bulky and difficult to move your arms in them! M&S note: sleeves do not always need lining - if you insist use a lighter thinner fabric than used for the dress!

I ordered this online, in a size 12. This was so small, I had to double check I didn't order a size 10! I couldn't fit into the dress at all. It is not very stretchy. I always buy a 12, and never had problems so I do think this comes in a small size. The actual dress looks nice, and not cheap, as some embellished dresses can look. I will go back, try on the 14. If that fits, I will buy it. It is above the knee but not too short.

I spotted this lonine whilst searching for something'Special' for New Years eve,as i have put on weight. I thought it was a bit pricey initially, but when it arrived I am thrilled! It is quite heavy,fabulous quality lining,very good quality,hangs well, lovely shape and design,and the fabric is beautiful. The sequins are well stitched on,and are a sort of muted black sequin(not too shiny),although they do catch the light. Fitted well,(i ordered a size up,as i wanted it looser),as I am normally a size 12 ,5ft 5, with 36B bust and roughly a 30 waist. The length was fine on me,(not too short),and the arms were a good length too, they are slim fitting,so try before you buy,if your arms are a bit plump at the top. It is a fitted style,and not a shift,but i dont mkind that as it goves the design an overall flattering shape. The zip on the back is exposed,but not too bright in colour,so doesnt stand out at all,but gives it a modern edge. Would be suitable for festive daytime,as well as evening. very versatile winter dress. Would highly recommend this,as unusual, quality,really special garment! Cant wait to wear it now!! Good value considering the quality.
