Pure Cotton Thermal Flannel Checked Marl Shirt

About half of the heavyweight twill/marl shirts listed this winter are "tailored fit" - i.e. skinny fit. Irritating that two standard fit shirts out of six bought recently have turned out to be cut pretty much the same as the so-called tailored fit shirts I've tried! The others were fine and well cut, with room across shoulders. Not this one, so it went back... Unfortunately, this phenomenon has been around for a few years now - come on M&S, get it sorted.

As previous reviewers have noticed the sleeve length is far too long.

I was looking for a casual shirt to take with me on a long weekend away. Firstly I was most pleased with the soft texture which is extremely soft next to the skin. Secondly the shirt was extremely confortable in its fitting. Don't often get shirts from M & S but this has certainly swayed me to make further purchases.

My husband asked me to find him a cosy shirt so I bought a slightly brighter check first, then this one in grey and navy. The fabric is gorgeous, the fit is great, both have been washed and ironed a few times already because he keeps ignoring all his other shirts, and they just get softer. The sleeve and body length are good, the collar isn't too soft and he says they're warm without being too hot. Only one request please M&S - some plain colours in the same fabric? Thanks

I originally bought this for my husband in local store in a L as his usual size XL looked huge on the hanger. When he tried it on it looked like it could do with a little more material around the middle otherwise a perfect fit but nonetheless decided to try an XL to cover for any shrinkage in wash. On trying the XL it came up huge all over, the body was passable but the sleeves were way way too long, even to turn up. My husband has always worn M&S XL which has always fitted perfectly but not on this occasion so he has decided to keep the L and hope it doesn't shrink in wash but a lovely shirt, style, and material.
