Pure Cotton Belted Chinos

I collected these trousers from store and tried them on when I arrived home and thought they were perfect. I wore them a few times and washed them, when I looked at them when they had dried the colour was all patchy and faded to a pink in places - I could not believe it. I am returning them to my local store at the weekend.

I love these for a relaxed weekend look and a cooler alternative to jeans. I wanted to buy another pair but guess what- no more my size! They are now in the sale with very few sizes available, such a disappointment.

i bought a size 6 as its the smallest size they do. the chinos were lovely from the hips down, but the label states sit on waist, i am 23" waist , the waist was massive, and the belt had no holes for my waist so was useless. i measured the waist when i took them off , it measured 31". what small stature person has a 31" waist? am disappointed as i loved the feel and style of the chinos but the sizing is an issue on all the trousers i try and buy from m&s. please make the waist sizes smaller or adjustable like the kids trousers, i only buy sit on waist trousers, which lately have developed a waist size nearing a hip size!!!!! please m&s sort the sizing out as i have trousers i bought from you when i was in my 20's which were made in uk and i am still wearing them today as the size and quality are spot on.

I bought these as a smarter alternative to denims and absolutely love them. They are great fit and very comfortable to wear. Not sure why the colour is described as sable as I thought sable was a very dark colour, however, even if they look more like khaki I love them and they can be worn with many colours on top. Ii returned to the store to buy a second pair however they are sold out, so disappointed about that. I found these to be more comfortable than the Per Una version and they cost a few pounds less.

Lovely & durable material & good price but unfortunately the fit was not for me - looked like jodphurs :( I wanted a straight-legged classic relaxed non-carrot legged chino fit - these were too roomy around the derriere and hips with way too much material on these areas and a bit tapering at the ankles too (not classic chino-shaped at all!) - I either needed to wear padding or a dressmaker to take them in..Disappointed :(

How utterly wonderful to find a pair of chinos that do not contain stretch! This means they skim over a fuller behind rather than clinging to it unforgivingly. Good for the pear shaped. They go in and the waist and out at the hip and are not too high waisted. All in all a nice, understated, flattering pair of trousers.
