Natural Wicker Hedgehog House

Thin, flimsy and not weatherproof. Lasted 5 minutes! Hedghog will be cold and wet. Consider making your own out of a plastic storage box with a removable lid £3.00 as opposed to £25.00! Unsuitable and unfit for purpose.

Lovely looking item, nicely made, BUT it is not practical for what it is supposed to be! I had this bought for me to place in the garden. I placed leaves & hay inside to make it snug & put it under the hedge, to give a bit of cover. I checked the other day to see if I had had any overnight visitors & found everything inside sopping wet! It provides no protection whatsoever! Save your money & buy a proper Hedgehog house, this is nothing more than a decorative item.

This product is wholly and completely unsuitable as a shelter for hedgehogs, It is neither waterproof or windproof, will last 5 minutes, and being painted white, is no more than a decoration for the garden. If you really want to provide a shelter for hogs, PLEASE research on the WWW for suitable designs/materials etc.

From the point of view of a hedgehog these are as much use as a chocolate teapot. They might make a summer shelter but if you are buying one thinking a hog will move in and stay then forget it. It's not waterproof or windproof. There is no base to keep damp out and it's so lightweight any hog worth its salt making a nest in it would soon have it sitting like a hat on top of the pile. Garden designers should not attempt to make homes for wildlife.
