Cotton Rich Safari A-Line Skirt

I have just bought this item in the sale late in the season, but it appears to be a good buy at the sale price,although I would not have paid full price for it.I agree with previous comments that this product would have been more appealing with usable front pockets and available in a darker colour.

I bought this in cream. I've always liked A-line skirts. Fits me well, and I like the belt, the zip and fastener at the front. The length is below my knees. I'm 5'1".

Classic A line, knee length cotton skirt, neutral colour so goes with almost anything, just the rather tacky, plastic feeling, snake skin effect belt lets it down. Took that off immediately, not my thing at all.

Another item bought for my mum....it fits her well, length is ok, perhaps a little long (she's 5') but she says it feels comfortable. It's a nice casual plain skirt which is what she wanted, there are a lot of skirts about with patterns on but very few plain so this is ideal. Again not worn and washed yet but it seems to be the kind of fabric which will get softer with washing.

Good quality and great style. A little short for my liking, but then it is knee length. I ordered a size 14 as size 16 was out of stock, and it is a little on the snug side for me (will have to try and lose a bit of weight!) I think I will keep it as to return from Australia is quite pricey.

Happy with my purchase. Needs ironing but nothing major. My only gripe - why don't M & S give lengths for ALL skirts, not just those they do in varying lengths. We don't all have the same upper leg length so 'on the knee' maybe ok for one person but could be nearly mini on another. For this reason I went up a size so it dropped down on my waist and was 'on the knee'.

This skirt fits really well and the material is good quality, which is why I have kept it despite the rather high price, but why does it have pockets you can't get into? I was baffled by the apparent pockets which do not work. At first I though perhaps they were just tacked closed and could be opened, but there are double lines of machine stitching all round them. Then I thought perhaps they were intended as mock pockets but checking the underside of the fabric I found two complete pockets, stitched across! Sadly, this sort of thing is all too common with M&S these days, but if I send it back it is quite likely that they are all stitched like this anyway or the design has sold out and I will be unable to get another.

Well made skirt, great fabric and everything goes with it, so I will get a lot of wear out of it. Great that it has pockets and it is easy to wash & iron

Lovely skirt. BUT Only problem waist is too big so have had to put tucks in it.Waist was almost as big as hips - no shape there! Belt inadequate but with a replacement wide brown leather belt the skirt looks and feels smart and is comfortable.

M&S is my first port of call for skirts for work. I was glad to see that the traditional A line has come back into fashion. just as men expect to be able to have pockets and belt loops in their trousers,and M&S always make such trousers available. . I expect to have pockets and belt loops on my work skirts, and there must be a belt loop in the centre of the back of the skirt too to pull in any excess fabric. when doing my rounds I need both those pockets for my mobile phone and keys. without hem my mobile phone gets left behind. please can the buyers at M&S assure that there is a stable battery of colours each season. i'd like to see navy, grey, black and brown as well as beige for the start of each season. a touch of scarlet would be good too.
