“Every year, we head out to my family's property in Wisemans Ferry, New South Wales, for a few days over Christmas, and this year will be no different,” says Sydney native Leigh Campbell, mother to four-month-old Alexander and executive editor at lifestyle website Mamamia. “I am so much more excited about the lead-up this year, though. Having a new little person makes the whole festive period so special, not just Christmas Day. We chill at home, play games, do puzzles and spend quality family time together. I'm cat obsessed so this cute kitten puzzle will get a good workout, and the Fun Night In! game is so hilarious.
“I'll be starting to decorate the house early this year and, this being Alexander's first Christmas, I am so happy to have an 'A' embroidered Christmas stocking to hang alongside ours. I can guarantee his will be the most full.
“I've tried Alexander's 'my first Christmas' bodysuit on him so many times already. It's a little big right now but will fit perfectly come the big day.
“With Christmas falling over summer in Australia, soft organic cottons that you can easily machine wash make ideal gifts for babies. My favourite is this set of whale-printed bodysuits which will ensure Alexander is comfy in the heat but still looks cute.
“I haven't bought anything for myself since having the baby. So, I'm using Christmas as a good excuse to buy some treats and also ask for things on my wishlist such as this floral print satin robe and matching chemise. I've also picked up a leather work bag for my husband.”
