With marble effects and copper finishes everywhere, wicker and rattan furniture and pot plants aplenty, interiors this summer are definitely having a Seventies moment. While embracing the look fully can be tricky to pull off, you can still make a stylish nod to the past with one or two carefully chosen accessories. Step up the Sputnik clock. With a starburst of polished teak spokes and a spun aluminium dial, it’s a striking, graphic addition to any wall. And while the look is retro, the welded iron frame and stamped metal base conceal a thoroughly modern mechanism, which has been developed with the environment in mind so fewer batteries need to be used. There’s really no better way to turn back time.
