I got this in the Pink Mix, in a 38GG.
(For reference, I'm also tall.)
On the plus side, it's a pretty colour and gives quite a good cup shape under clothes.
The wire is the correct size/diameter for the cup size, according to the chart I have been going by (size 50).
However, having looked at some other charts, it may be on the small side, for the bra side, according to some of them.
Doing a search on "bra wire sizes" is very informative, by the way.
I'm having a few slight issues with the bra, however.
Firstly, the wires are cut a little too deep for me, vertically.
I have close-set (touching) breasts which are also set quite high on my ribcage and the underwire extends about an inch (2.5cm) below the bottom of them and digs into my ribs, a little.
I can't pull the bra up, to prevent this, as my close-set cleavage prevents it from sitting any higher.
I normally go for half-cup/demi-cup bras, with shallow, close-set wires, for this very reason.
In the photo, this bra looks like it is cut quite shallow (vertically).
So, I thought it would be a good shape for me; but, in the flesh, it's deeper/higher than that.
The second slight problem is that the "points" of the bra are set a little too far apart, for me; but, seeing as only I would be seeing it directly from above, that doesn't matter too much, I guess?
The third problem is that the material of the cups is very slightly too small for me.
I would say the bra is cut slightly on the non-projecting side, compared with the wire size.
Getting a very slight quadra thing going on...
I would loosen the straps further, but I don't think they loosen any more (there isn't that much adjustment range on them).
The fourth slight problem is that it has wide straps and 3 hooks and quite frankly, at my height, I don't feel I need that kind of high-level security and support!
Again, in the photos, it looked like a bra that wasn't made to be hugely supportive; which I prefer.
Don't get me wrong - it's not too bad, just a little more than I require, personally.
The final problem is that the band is a little tight around the ribs (and I don't like very tight bands).
I would say it feels more like a 36, than a 38.
I normally go for a larger/looser 36, or a smaller/tighter 38.
I'm not used to a 38 feeling a little too tight, put it that way.
However, that may be because I'm having to wear it too low, around the widest part of my ribcage.
Still debating whether to keep it, or not...
I could try the 40GG - but, then the wires would, presumably, be even deeper?
I wish M&S would look into producing half-cup bras, with shallow, close-set wires.
They are beautiful, flattering and very good for larger cup sizes and especially for people with higher, closer-set, projecting breasts.
They could look to some of the famous French producers for tips on cut and fit. :)
