I saw this dress in the sale - not my usual style but I thought I'd try something different. And boy, am I glad I did! Lovely heavy fabric , unlined but with this fabric you can get away with it. I bought the standard length and at 5'7" this hit just at knee length - not too long or too short for me. The fit was a little generous - I could probably have gone down a size if not for the imminent onset of Christmas eating coming up! I didn't have problems with the neck buttons unlike some of the other reviewers but I can see how some might find them fiddly. All in all a fabulous dress that I would have bought at full price had I not been lucky enough to find it in the sale.

I had this dress delivered to my daughter as she thought it would be good for her graduation outfit worn with a jacket, she especially liked it as it is not Lacy or glittery.

Bought this for a do in October and I agree it comes up a little large but nothing too drastic. Nice fabric and it didn't bother me that it was lined. Washes like a dream and doesn't really need ironing which is always a plus! I agree the loopholes are a complete nightmare being far too snug, they really should be elastic. I can just about get in the dress but hubby has to get me out!!! Overall a good buy.

I really liked the style of the dress - classic lbd/cocktail dress. I'm 5'5" and ordered the short length which finished above the knee but not ridiculously so. However, the mayerial felt cheap and being unlined was not very flattering. I also felt the dress ran big especially around the middle, unsure if a size smaller would have improved things but as the fabric was flimsy I wouldn't have wanted it to cling! Sadly it will be going back.

This dress is gorgeous- true to size, fits well- flattering in all the right places and perfect length. Love my new dress and can't wait to wear it!!

This dress was going to be the perfect dress for me this Christmas. Got it home, and for half an hour struggled with the two little buttons on the neck, just struggled to unfasten them. Got the dress on and yes, GREAT, but no , I then couldn't fasten them back up as the loop was to tight (the loop needed to be elasticated)! Sorry M&S

Although I really liked this dress I found the neck was a bit tight and restricting. The main bad point is that the buttons are very difficult to undo and once in the dress Is on i struggled to get the dress off.
