Product Description
A characterful Sancerre taken from the infamous slope of Monts Damnes known for its precipitous incline which captures the sun perfectly producing grapes with intense flavour and lifted fresh acidity. Exuberant and charming with flavours of dill, classic lime and an underlying tropical intensity from guava like fruits. Not to mention the classic mineral depth known of all fine Loire whites.
Based in the village of Chavignol in the west of Sancerre, Domaine Brochard dates back to the 16th century. Today, winemaking and the management of the vines is carried out by Benoit and Anne-Sophie, the latest line of the Brochard family to have nurtured and elevated this estate to its current position. This Sancerre is made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc from the famous La Côte des Monts Damnés slope, where the 40 year old vines benefit from excellent exposure and a unique terroir.
