Pure Silk Long Sleeve Shirt

I ordered a blue shirt in my normal size, but it is way too big, particularly on the shoulders. So it is going back. Unfortunately you are out of stock with the size that I would now order.

I ordered this shirt in two colours as not able to purchase in store. I ordered a size down from my usual as other reviews suggested. Lovely quality, well made and good value however the fit was not very flattering. I found the shoulders to be too wide for me - didn't look good. Unfortunately I shall be returning the cream one. Still considering the blue as it doesn't seem quite as wide. Shame as I would have kept both had the fit been better.

Nice silk shirt, went down a size and fits well. Length means you can tuck it in without excess fabric or wear loose.

Love the feel and cut of this shirt plus it isn't too long especially as I am only being 5ft 2". I have been looking for a silk shirt for a while and this is the perfect edition to my wardrobe.

I loved this blouse. The colour (pale blue) was lovely - perfect for spring; the silk was of an excellent quality. However, it was simply too big all over. I ordered a size 10, which is my normal size but the shoulder seams sat well down the top of my arms and the width from bust to hem was vast - I felt swamped in it. So have reluctantly returned it. Imagine even a size 8 will be too big.

I ordered two of these shirts (ivory & bright sage). The silk is lovely & soft & hangs nicely but I will have to return them as they are much too large. The length is perfect for me but far from giving a "fitted silhouette" they are at least two sizes too big. I ordered size 12 but would estimate them to be at least a 16 in reality. Ideally I would like to exchange them for a smaller size but as there was a 20% discount promotion when I ordered them I would now have to pay full price. I had read other reviews before purchasing but as they differed so much it's hard to know which to rely on!

Your sizing for this shirt is very misleading. I normally wear a size 10 shirt but the 10 was huge on me and I felt swamped by it. I exchanged it for an 8. Although better, even that feels a little generous. It certainly does not give a "fitted silhouette". There does seem to be a general failure of quality control in your sizes. For example, at the same time I also bought a linen shirt size 10 which is an excellent fit. I've often found a difference in sizing between shirts of equal style and size but different colours. Anyway, all that aside, I like the shirt and look forward to wearing it.

I'm surprised by the 5 star reviews for this shirt. It is poorly styled and not particularly well made for the price. Also the sizing is large. If you normally wear a size 12 you will need a size 10. Obviously it was returned.

This is a lovely silk shirt, versatile and stylish. It might be too short for some women, but for me the length is perfect. I am curious to see how it will wash, because my experience with washable silk is rather bad. Returned the green one and kept the navy only, the green was a bit too bright for my taste. Looking forward to wearing it this spring!

Bought this in my usual M&S size 12 but it was way too wide, so went down to 10. Nice material. Not yet washed so cant say how difficult it may be to iron.

I ended up having to order this item twice, as the first one that was sent was missing a button on the cuff and also the second button from the top was also missing! Very poor on the part of whoever at M&S is supposed to check items before they are sent out to customers! The second shirt that arrived was in perfect condition - I wasn't sure if I would have to go up a size to a 14 to accommodate my rather generous bust, but the 12 is a perfect fit, and the quality of the fabric is excellent. The style is pretty classic, so I know this will become a wardrobe staple for me. Can't wait to wear it.

I have been searching for a classic silk blouse for ages, but have only found ones which recommend dry cleaning - what a drawback! So I was very pleased to find this one - I haven't washed it yet but here's hoping. I also like the colour (ivory), the texture (not see through) and the cut and fit. Like another customer I could have done without the pockets. But in all, well done Marks.
