PETITE Hooded Parka with Stormwear™

This item was petite so I thought it would fit me. However it was large. The sleeves were also too long. In the end I got a Per Una coat/anorak (with hood) in a size 10 which fitted perfectly, the sleeves were just the right size so I guess they were too short for the average person.

I'm off to see my son in the UK from Australia and the climate contrasts will be extreme! Wanted to buy a 'local' coat to suit the local conditions. It didn't have to be fancy, just smart and warm, suitable for casual outdoors as I have no corporate role in the UK. Coat arrived - lovely and warm with fleecy and quilted lining and a fur trim on the hood. Loved the colour, the fit and the snug wrist arrangement at the end of the sleeves. Very happy with purchase, speed and service, although it took a bit of fiddling to get a second delivery from DHL.

Great warm coat. I'm 5ft 3 and it fits perfect. Great sleeve length and body. Fitted so well I ordered my daughter one too. She's 5ft. So warm that you don't need warm layers underneath it. Lovely fabric with a sheen finish. I got it in khaki. Superb fine detail on it. I ordered large and I'm normally size 16 but didn't want it skimpy. Can be pulled in if necessary. Plenty big enough. Love it!!!!

I bought this for my granddaughter SPetite. She is delighted with the style, warmth and perfect fit. It seemed on the pricey side to me, but at least it proved to be a very acceptable gift.

Saw this coat in store and tried it on so knew it fitted. I usually buy a size 14 in a petite size so went for the medium, it fitted perfectly. Good to have a coat that fits in all the right places. Good quality material and a nice warm lining. I have just come back from Scotland so the coat has been tested in snow, hail, rain, high winds and ice and I was very cosy inside my coat so a very good buy for wintry weather. I thought it was a bit pricey but managed to buy when there was 20% off so very happy with my purchase.

I have been looking for a smart, waterproof, warm coat for ages. Loved the style and quality of this parka in petite size. Unfortunately, it was too small across the shoulders, it did restrict my movements and therefore felt to tight around the neck. I am not a big size in M&S clothing, usually a size 10 or 12. Rest of fit was perfect, so was very disappointed. Exchanged for a standard size this fitted perfectly across the shoulders and not tight around the neck. Now, no longer able to put hands into pockets easily (I can live with this). When I was in the store, I was able to see the 2 colours on offer, I preferred the navy. I did not like the fur trim around the hood, so pleased this can be removed.

How nice to have a coat that doesn't drown me. Yet to be tested in bad weather though. I hope that is is totally waterproof and warm. The only gripe is that the hood is not detachable and that it is lined in cream sheepskin type material. It makes it a bit bulky and I did ponder on whether to return it. I bought it on a 20% off day so made it more affordable.

I have spent ages looking for the perfect coat for winter and am delighted with my purchase for both warmth and style. Agree with the other reviewers that the size is rather big. I am a size 6 and the extra small fit still has plenty of room for thick jumpers and cardigans when it gets colder. For some time now I have felt that much of the petite range at m&s is pretty terrible. Average and at times downright horrible designs and fit. Orange ankle grazer trousers, textured top and mini skirt or metallic maxi dress?! Please bring back simple and chic designs. High fashion designs does not necessarily flatter the petite frame.

I found this rather bulky and heavy, otherwise very warm, but restricted my movement driving.

I am 5'2" and usually wear size 8 and the small fits me perfectly. Like its softness and feel really warm with fleece like material inside. The internal pocket could have been larger but still useful to have. External pockets are a good size. Good quality overall. Love the khaki colour which goes well with almost anything. Would have love to get it slightly cheaper but needed it for my holidays hence the 4 stars.
