Metallic Effect Zip Through Cardigan with Mohair

I bought this for my mother-in-law for Christmas it fits her lovely except the zip was a bit difficult to zip up but she managed it. She said it would keep her warm.

This boxy cardigan in soft gold with bronze piping, and with a double-knit texture, was intended for my elderly mother. Seemed perfect until I tried the zip, which still refused to 'engage' after ten minutes. If I couldn't manage it, she certainly would fail. The base of the zip is badly structured, renders the garment unwearable if it is to be worn zipped up! So bad design, faulty construction and surely a lack of quality control mean this garment is certainly not recommended,although visually pleasant.

I have only tried this on so far and therefore can't judge on wearability. I bought a size 10 and it does fit well across the shoulders and the length is neither too short nor too long, although the sleeves are too long for my 5ft2in height, but they can be folded back so as to still show the edging. It looks smart and will be useful with either a blouse or a roll neck jumper underneath and it is very warm. The colour is as shown on the web site.

I do not know who designed the zip on this jacket but it is hideous.When the jacket is closed the front pockets open and show the cheap lining of the pocket.The style of the jacket is lovely but it was not thought through and is overpriced.
