Leather Turn-Lock Messenger Bag

I have had this bag for a few months now. It looks good, but I think the leather is too stiff, I find it difficult to use all the pockets. Perhaps if it was a bit bigger and more supple it would be better. I worry that I am going to break the zip, it is hard to open.

My current autograph messenger bag has served me well for over seven years but is now showing its age. I thought this one would be a good replacement but ... it is smaller not such good quality leather and the fabric handle lets the bag down - so it went back

This is exactly what I wanted! I like the wide canvas strap, plenty of adjustment, and I think will be more hardwearing than a leather strap because I find the edges always peel off on leather straps. Very comfortable, hangs well and leaves me hands-free. I like the array of different pockets. Two zip compartments, (one with an inside zip pocket and two small pouches for phones etc), one flat magnet pouch on the back, and a spacious pocket with the twist-lock on the front. Plenty big enough for everyday essentials but small enough to not be cumbersome and heavy. I even managed to get my lunchbox in today! Overall seems very well made and excellent quality. I bought the other M&S leather cross body bag (with a buckle) at the same time to compare. I preferred this one because it had more pockets, I preferred the twist lock to the buckle, the other had a leather strap, and the leather on this one seemed more robust (other was beautifully soft but I wanted something more hardwearing).

I've been using my new bag everyday for about a week now. For those who are wondering, it is big enough for mini iPad/tablet device and a few other essentials like purse, keys, mobile, tissues, lip gloss and wee bits. It's a good size to carry what you need but not so big that you would end up filling it with nonessential stuff. The different pockets make it easy to organise things and make the best use of the space. Having suffered with back and shoulder problems for a few years I always look for a good everyday bag that can take everything I need plus the option of space for mini iPad/tablet when I need to take it too. For me this ticks all the boxes. The leather is good quality and similar bags retail at much more than the price I paid (I bought it with recent 20% discount offer). It also comes with a dust cover although this ones so good it's going to be used every day so I think the dust cover might just collect dust in my wardrobe!

I bought this bag a couple of months ago and its my firm favourite. The leather is soft and it's a great size for everyday with enough pockets.

A really nice bag a good tan colour and I like the material strap. Plenty of pockets inside. Happy with this bag.

Bag is superb and worth every penny. Juat a nice size. Not to big...not to small

Just what I wanted to take away, plenty of room and pockets to stash things and the strap leaves me 'hands free'. Just one criticism, the strap may have been better in leather, then the bag would look a bit smarter.

I love a messenger bag and this is super fabulously stylish one in black. Its a great size and I can fit everything a need in it and I love all the separate compartments. The leather is as good quality as a mulberry handbag (and I know as I have two of those and this looks just the same side by side) and a fraction of the price...well done M&S another triumph! I'm now considering buying it in the tan.
