Leather Gibson Shoes

My partner has been wearing the previous 4 versions of this style and has been perfectly happy. This pair is not as good. The laces are too short and there are no eyelets. How long will they last? Too soon to say after two wears but be warned- they're not as good as before. Service was very good.

Style was good for a school shoe, but within a couple of weeks the lace eyelet had split as others have described and then the toe of the shoe came away from the sole. I returned for a full refund.

I like the round toe design and good price, thinking they may be suitable for daily work wear. The shoes are comfortable but not exceptional; I can certainly get used to it. The shoelaces are too short for a bow knot, the thick laces and 4 shoelace holes on each side make it a bit of a struggle to tighten and loosen. I ended up not bothering to tighten the two sides too much, which makes the shoes look like they are about to burst open, and the shoelaces are only just long enough for a simple one-loop knot.

In the last ten years I mainly worn Clark shoes. Last year I bought this shoes. It is comfortable and good for the values. It well exceeds my expectations. Highly recommend.

disappointed no eyelet in lace holes. Bought a pair in July 2014 they had eyelets. Quality!? the heels are worn right thru already. I walk to work so I will give them another chance.

Basic comfortable shoe for my husband for work

I have recently returned two pairs of these shoes. The laces have torn through the lace holes. The second pair were a replacement for another pair returned with the same fault ( the first time on) A previous pair from M&S similar had metal eyelets around the lace holes and lasted - they may have been Blue Harbour

Good fit and comfortable out of the box. One negative is the laces. Why do people always put such short laces in to new shoes?

The lacing holes were split, in one case by the plastic tag attached to the shoe giving the size and barcode information.
