What’s a bouquet?

A bouquet is a curated selection of flowers and foliage arranged in a bunch for an eye-catching display. Arrangements often combine flowers like lilies, roses and chrysanthemum with complementary foliage such as eucalyptus and laurel. How do I keep my flowers fresh?

When your flowers arrive, cut the stems at a 45-degree angle and place them in a vase of water out of direct sunlight. You can add some flower food to your bouquet to stimulate growth. Keep your flowers looking fresh by topping up the water in the vase every other day. Replace the water every few days, when you can also top up the flower food and retrim the stems. It’s a good idea to remove any dead leaves and buds too.

What are the most fragrant flowers?

Jasmine is known for its strong fragrance, with its sweet musky notes, as well as tuberose, which gives off a creamy, exotic scent. Other fragrant flowers include hyacinth, lavender, gardenia and rose, which all give off heavenly aromas. We use foliage such as eucalyptus in our bouquets, which has a fresh and clean smell and can work well paired with sweet floral blooms. A classic option would be lilies, known for their strong and lovely smell once they open up.
