Hooded Waxy Parka with Linen

I was looking for a light coloured jacket and came across this item on the website - I am a frequent shopper in M&S and had not seen it in the shop. I normally like to see things in the flesh to assess material, colour etc but decided to order online and see what it was like when it arrived. I am really pleased with all aspects of this jacket - it is nice material, the colour was right, fit was good and it was reduced in the sale - so a bargain to boot. Looking forward to wearing this jacket many times.

At last, a lightweight, rainproof jacket with a hood! I'm delighted with this, have been searching for something light enough for summer rains and finally found this jacket. I do like it very much but it would be so much better if it were slightly longer..... It's longer than other M&S jackets I've bought but could still do with just a little bit more length - I'm only 5'7" and often feel M&S jackets are too short (looking at reviews on the website shows this is a problem many women experience). Size-wise, I usually find I am one of two sizes in M&S clothes depending on the style, and the smaller size is ideal in this jacket with still plenty of room. I have rated this 4 out of 5 stars simply because of the length.

I bought this in the navy and was really looking forward to it arriving. Although usually a size 12 I ordered a size 14 to allow for a jumper to go underneath in the cooler weather. It was so big and shapeless it looked awful, I think a size 10 would have been plenty big enough. I returned it.

Neat little jacket - like the integral hood

I bought the cream coloured wax mac and was instantly delighted with it. It looks good with smart trousers or jeans - very functional. Now I have bought the navy one also and this looks good with chinos or cropped jeans. For the price, the hooded waxy parka is very good quality. Its a shame I wear it in the rain!

I went back twice to try to get a size 18, in the end I tried a size 16 the it was a perfect fit, plenty of room. I was pleased as I wanted a fitted jacket, not one with the waist taggles,

Lovely jacket in the navy blue and almost perfect fit, the only problem is the sleeves are a little long but they can be turned back and when they are they reveal a lovely striped lining which adds to the style. Very comfortable to wear and the hood means you can do without an umbrella!

so i say again - well i should have known better as it doesn't even look like a good fit on the as usual size 8 model but i thought it looked like a nice jacket , and it is lovely - however while the style is nice the material great and the design well thought out - it is let down by the cut and fit - it seems like years since i last found a jacket or coat in m&s that allowed slim ladies to have a bust and i wonder if items are cut to fit a more eastern shape of lady as i do not think you cut to fit average british ladies - why can i buy a size 14 jacket/coat in East or Next but even an 18 in M&S feels like a straightjacket around the chest whilst being massive around the waist/hips - please please please look at your customer base - ask them what they see as wrong with clothes - don't waste ££££'s on dressing up celebrities - eg we are not fooled we know that however good emma thompson looks in her black trouser white combo in the ad we will look as if we are wearing old dishcloths - just glad i bought online as it was easy to return

The 20 fits like a 22. I find the cut a little shapeless and would benefit from an adjustable inset cord to give it definition at the waist. But it's a lovely jacket although I will return mine. Unfortunately they do not have an 18.

This is a really comfortable, well fitting jacket. I have worn it a number of times since buying it and am very pleased with it. It fits well, but I am tall and I would like it to be just a bit longer.
