Metallic Effect Bolero

Lovely colour, so soft will have plenty of wear this summer. Would be nice to have other summer colours

Wore it to a wedding with silver grey accessories and it looked very much the part.

I have been looking for a silvery bolero for a long time. I did not want anything too sparkly. This filled the bill.

I was very dissatisfied with the fit of this article. I ordered a size 18 and a 20 in case it was on the small side but neither was a good fit. Sadly they both got returned.

The bolero looked really good on the website - the kind of useful cover up which would finish off an outfit all the year round. It turned out to be poor quality, badly sized - it was supposed to be a size 14 but my mother who is a M and S size 10 could not get into it comfortably. The quality just doesn't seem to be there with M and S knitwear any more - I buy most of my jumpers etc elsewhere these days and I used to be a devoted M and S fan.

After seeing the black version of this bolero cover up worn by a relative, I decided to opt for the silver, which I had expected to look really good with my holiday dresses.. I was not really very thrilled with the silver option. The fit of the bolero was fine, although perhaps a little bit too square on me. To start with, I felt that the silver was very dull in appearance and the sparkle which I had seen with the black one, was just not there. The colour looked more grey than silver against my maxi dresses and the overall effect according to my partner and his son was that it made me look "mumsie" ! Enough said ! I returned it.

Having bought a new maxi dress for an occasion, I wanted a shrug or bolero that would have that "special something". I saw this black metallic bolero and purchased it online. I have to say I really love it ! I am not usually a cardigan or shrug person, but this little cover-up is gorgeous. The edge to edge style is flattering , and the metallic yarn in the knit, gives it a really luxurious appearance. The cover-up is true to size for me (a plus sized shopper) and has a little bit more length than a lot of similar garments available elsewhere. The bolero looks fab over my maxi dress, but also adds a modern twist to day dresses and also looks very on trend over a long summer shirt. I am so pleased that I bought this and I would love to see more colours than the two available emerging in future collections.
