Cornelli Jersey Mesh Lace Shift Dress

Delighted to have another great evening dress

My regular size barely did up on me and the style was very unflattering to bust area. Generally, the mesh flowers poke out which does add interesting dimension, but also bulk you outline unless you are svelte. Therefore, I would say this is not a suitable design for anyone above size 12 or with a large bust. I suspect the mesh would rip easily too. The ad tag line that the simple shape allows for bold accessorising seems bizarre to me, as the fabric is very 'busy' and I would say needs very discrete accessorising if you don't want to look like a fairground attraction!

Very disappointed with this dress. It did fit, but I found it impossible to get the zip up past the waistband. This was due to the dress design and not my spare tyre! The cotton underslip was less than flattering, especially on top. Zip felt very cheap, and I ended up taking the dress back. It looked so good on the hanger too!

I ordered this dress in a size 18 (20 was sold out) so no surprise really that it was a little snug. However, even though it wasn't a good fit on me I did think that if the lining had been of a less clingy material, so that the over-fabric slipped over it, then it would have been altogether a better dress. I'm sure it's lovely on the right person - just not me.

Excellent quality material, pretty & feminine design. However, disappointingly the waist neither sat on the waistline or under bust and looked awful. I'm going to have to return the dress. I don't think the dress was designed for anyone with a bust.

This is a very versatile dress - smart enough for an evening cocktail event but also could be dressed down. I thought the sizing was true to form and the waistband is a nice touch which adds some shape to the dress. I like the fact that the lining is beige (unlike some of the other reviewers) as on me, all black is too much and I always feel washed out. This is still black, but the contrast lining lightens the overall look and feels much better suited to me with my paler colouring.

I really wanted to keep this dress as I loved the gold underslip, quality of lace and length,but the velvet band around the middle of the dress went neither under my bust or on my waist. It made me look shapeless so unfortunately I had to return it. The sizing is good.

Lovely dress and fitted well but had problems with the zip and had to return - unfortunately this was the second time.

This dress looked very stylish on the website but I'm afraid to say I had to return it as it was disappointing for various reasons. The sizing was not true to size, the inner lining I felt was too small and difficult to place when putting on the dress. Fir me, the shape was unflattering and not what I have come to expect from your Per Una range. Once on, it wasn't particularly comfortable and the inner shift didn't move well with the top lace layer as I found myself constantly moving the dress into place although I only had it on for 5minutes A poor design altogether. A return I am afraid.

I have been looking out for this dress ever since I saw a review in a magazine a couple of months ago (previewing the Autumn M & S range). It is a real beauty, and looks much more expensive than it is! It is also comfortable and very stylish. I am glad Marks and Spencer are doing more and more dresses with SLEEVES. Keep it up, M & S!!
