The excellent 2009 vintage has endowed Tronquoy-Lalande with sweet dark fruit flavours, warm earth and a mineral finish which overlay the powerful tannic structure.
Now under the same control as the famous Saint-Estephe 2nd growth Château Montrose, this is definitely a property on the move. Ranked as a Cru Bourgeois, the property is managed by Jean Delmas and represents some of the best value in Fine Bordeaux. Situated on the Saint-Estephe plateau the wine shows all of the best characteristics of the commune – powerful wines both rich in colour and flavour, with great longevity. This blend of 51% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot was rated 91 points by Robert Parker in 2012.
