Faux Fur Hooded Duffle Coat with Wool

As others have written, this coat is a nice design and style but the quality of the fabric lets it down. For a start it's not lined and the wool-type fabric is textured the type that attracts fluff like a magnet. I really did like the style but the quality was not as I expected. I would have happily paid more for a better coat so it was with a heavy heart that I had to return it.

Great winter coat although the hood is huge or maybe I just have a small head. It goes with anything I love it!

I ordered this online and collected from the store. When I opened the box the middle loop wasn't fastened so I had to swap it, which was a bit of nuisance. Hopefully the new one will be fine!!

It doesn't worth the money! It's not as cosy as it looks. I can feel the wind and always have to wear it with a overcoat or something else. Buttons always undo- not suitable for this coat!

A nice duffle which looks good and a cute little faux fur trim hood that you can detach. Nice big pockets My only negatives are that the neck is quite uncomfortable when fully done up. It doesn't sit quite right and I have to put a scarf underneath my coat to stop it rubbing. Its also not as warm as you'd expect for 50% wool. Arms are very long for me (im 5'4) so have had to roll them up but plan to get them altered. Overall I would recommend this coat, its not going to be your coat for the coldest days though. Also I would recommend trying it on first to see how the neck fits for you

I'm torn on this coat. I actually love the design and the style of this coat and was so happy when my size came back in stock so that I could order it. It is lovely and warm, stylish and fits true to size. The reason I am marking it down is that after one wear, the stitching on the duffle fastening came undone and I had to return the coat. This should not happen on any product but I expect quality from M & S after paying £89 for a coat.

I found the coat rather heavy and stiff; the stiffness might have worn off, but the main problem was the collar, which I found overwhelming. It would be OK for severe weather, but overpowering for general use.

I just loved this coat from the moment I saw it! Love, love, love it! I had a duffle coat years ago, but this is a lovely updated example of how a duffle coat should be. It is very thick and heavy, will keep me lovely and warm. Just a great coat and all the quality you expect from M&S! Also with 20% off it was definitely a bargain. (Also bought a couple of other items and received the free Christmas gift box, with wine, chocolates and biscuits, thank you M&S!) I think I will buy the lovely scarf next...

I love the fit of this duffle coat and it's so woolly and warm but not at all scratchy. It has side pockets exactly where they should be, making it all the more snug and comfortable. I removed the fur hood and the buttons for holding the fur in place. I prefer it without the faux fur and love the pink and blue checked lining which is more visible in the hood now. I thought this was excellent value for money and it definitely competes with other brands such as four seasons and laura ashley where I've bought duffle coats in the past at more than double the price. It can also look smart with a skirt and flat boots so I'll be getting lots of wear from it.
