Boys' Pure Cotton Skinkind™ Shorts

I bought these for my son as I thought they sounded a good idea. However he complained that they feel like wearing plastic and are unpleasant to move in. As my child plays football every break time afforded him he does not wish to feel uncomfortable in his clothing. For that reason I will be returning them shortly to M and S for the ones I usually buy.

The style is fine but I only bought the skinkind because I couldn't get the right size in the normal type. The skinkind is probably good for allergy sufferers but if you don't need it they are very creased compared to the normal shorts and so don't look as smart.

Really pleased to have found these soft school shorts as my son is more or less phobic about new clothes, seams, buttons and material feel in general. They're a soft brushed cotton and the insides are less scratchy than regular ones we've had. Haven't hesitated in recommending them, a great find.

Thank you M&S for bringing back pure cotton school trousers and shorts. You're a life saver. I know so many mothers whose children suffer from eczema and have recommended these to everyone.

I have one of those boys who can't wear anything unless the label has been cut off. Any t-shirts with embroidery on them are out of the question as the feeling on the inside is too uncomfortable, and the slightest roughness on any fabric means he will refuse to wear it. I was delighted to find these shorts on the website, and he is more than happy to wear them. They are really comfortable for him, and I'm delighted. We also ordered the lined trousers which have done the trick too. The only downside is that to be this soft, they don't have stain guard or Teflon coating so will need more ironing and general care, but that's a small price to pay for a happy boy!

These are cooler (in both senses of the word) than regulation school shorts and therefore perfect for the warmer weather. They received an altogether positive verbal review from our 10-year-old, who has never previously displayed the remotest interest in school uniform.

Bought the long trousers and was impressed, so got the short as well. Good length and style but only worn once so far, let's hope for some better weather on its way.

My son suffers from eczema, and that was the main reason for buying that. But, colour is not as classic as the other collection plus very hard to iron. I had to get another pair which was really excellent.
