Best of British Pure New Wool Checked Modern Slim Leg Trousers

I'd been looking at these online for ages but felt that they were a bit steep pricewise for me at the full price. Very pleased to get them in the sale. They are a lovely colour and fabric and the big check is very flattering. Nice shape - I don't suit slim fit trousers and was relieved to find that the cut was good for a more curvy figure. I haven't worn them out anywhere yet (as the weather's been so hot) and am looking forward to the cooler weather so I can take them for an outing. I think they'll be a great transitional pair of trousers and will make a real change form smart jeans for a going out/away ooutfit.

I managed to buy these trousers when they were drastically reduced. They are stunning. I haven't worn them as yet but I intend to team them with a crisp white shirt and navy blazer. The quality is excellent and the fact they are lined ensures a perfect drape. Although I have sang the praises of these trousers I would not have paid the full price.

Beautifully cut trousers and a perfect fit. I am petite 5'2" and they fit very well as if made to measure. I'm not sure how they would fit a bigger person with Regard to measurements. Lovely soft material and great style. Rather costly But got them in the sale. I don't know why M&S can't Make these stylish trousers for a more reasonable Price. Come on M&S you can do it.

I really love this pair of trousers. It fits well. In addition, there are two plus points: it is made of wool but it is not scratchy; and it is one of the 'Best of British" offerings!!

A really lovely quality fabric - very lightweight wool so perfect for our climate most of the year. The check is quite muted so gives these trousers an edge while keeping them very wearable. The fit was really good on me; not too tightly fitted (which I like) but very well cut and falling just on the ankle (I'm 5'5''). If you're a small size 12 you may want to go for a 10. The cut is perfect, slim and modern but no too skinny. I'd almost given up on M&S clothes but this best of British range may well have me shopping here again.

It would be helpful to know the inside leg length of these trousers on the description. I found them to be very short. While I have long legs I think they're still cut quite meanly with very little hem. For a product at this price I'd expect a more generous cut in the hem for customers like me who'd like to have the option of altering the hem to fit - this is certainly the option for equivalently priced items in other shops. I'm willing to pay this price for trousers but do expect a little more in return! The fabric is nice - quite light for wool which would be nice for cool spring days. Overall I think they're not value for money.

I'm a standard size 12, just over 5'4" tall, shorter-bodied and longer legged. The 12 fit well, I could almost have fit into a 10 but erred on the side of caution. The length was great..... ankle- grazers on me, and they look terrific with heels. Personally, I thought the brogue look did very little for the style. They are very expensive, but although unlined, the checks all match up and they are well- made. I think they look terrific with a navy t-shirt ( tucked in) navy belt and navy high heels.

These are absolutely gorgeous and look particularly great with the white brogues and the simple white modal T shirt also in the collection. I was worried about such a large windowpane check, but once on they are fantastically stylish and modern looking. It's a very young look - took years off me!
