Ycaro Cabernet Sauvignon - Case of 6
Sorry, this item is no longer available
Vibrantly characterful and richly blackcurranty ripe red. This enticing mouthful begins with brilliant sparky redcurrant fruitiness that evolves into deep cherry and blackcurrant fruit, with soft tannins, subtle acidity and great purity. A quirky juniper tang at the finish keeps this wine really lively.
Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in Chile. In Ycaro's sunny vineyards of the Rapel Valley, this grape variety takes on a wonderfully herby juniper character and real blackcurrant intensity. Winemaker Cesar Morales keeps fermentation temperatures cool to preserve this wine's pure flavours, and matures a little of the blend (20%) in oak barrels for roundness and complexity.

average Chilean wine
No, I don't recommend this
I enjoy Chilean reds but was disappointed in this one, was pleased it was on offer otherwise I would have been most unhappy. I found it to be somewhat "thin", had difficulty clinging to the side of the glass, not bold enough for my taste. It needed to breathe - was better the next day, I found.
