Holes Appeared Immediately
No, I don't recommend this
These socks arrived quickly and looked good when I removed them from the package. I bought them for my six year old girl/boy twins. They each wore a pair to school and both came home with holes in the socks after that first day. This was the same for all five pairs in the package.

Socks appeared good to begin with but they are falling apart, very poorly finished loose ends, not good.

mismatched sizes in pack
Yes, I recommend this
I was happy with the quality of the socks but the pack contained 4 pairs of the correct size and one pair of a smaller size which meant that I had to drive to the store to return them which was very annoying.

Why NO black?
Yes, I recommend this
I've bought these socks for both my sons for years and they are great quality, wash well, everything you would want from a school sock. So imagine my disappointment when placing my order this year that there are NO BLACK SOCKS. WHY have you done this M and S?

Dreadful
No, I don't recommend this
I bought these boys socks for myself, in the hope that they might be a bit tougher and wear better than all the ladies socks that I've purchased from M&S in recent times. But these were even worse. After just one wearing, not only were my feet covered in fibres (par for the course) but with these socks, even the insides of my shoes were covered in fibres and the heels and toes were already showing signs of being threadbare! I was so annoyed I took them back to my local store straight away and the only good thing I can say is that my money was refunded without question. What has happened to M&S socks? They are all terrible these days. They shed fibres leaving ones feet looking dirty and become threadbare on the toes and heels in no time at all. Until M&S return to 100% cotton socks and abandon this "cotton rich" nonsense, I will buy my socks elsewhere.

Too narrow at ankle
Yes, I recommend this
Good quality socks and i'm sure great for kids. Nobody makes adult socks for small feet, i am a size 35 so foot size m&s kids fit me fine but i am pushing 60 so need a bit more around the ankle!! Have bought m&s kids socks for donkey's years but these are very narrow around the ankle so i will have to do some scissoring! If anyone knows where i can get plain dark cotton socks for an adult small foot then please let me know!! What surprises me is that a lot of children are not so slim so where do they get their socks from?

Great socks

Wash well and can write child's name in the white area at the top in permanent ink so great for PE days as they come home with their own socks still!

Good socks
Yes, I recommend this
Although these are in the boys' section, I bought these socks for my 12 year old daughter to wear to school. It was too hot for tights, but too cold for bare legs. She wanted socks that were totally plain, not "babyish" and without girly stuff like butterflies and glitter (she's a little bit of a tomboy!). These fit the bill.

At last; socks that are easy to get on!
Yes, I recommend this
The first socks that my 4 year old son can get on on his own. Having spent many stressful mornings trying to help him get his socks on and endless rows about the heel not being in the right postion or the seam at the toe line being uncomfortable we have now reached a happy sock place!

These work well. Great not having to sew or iron on name tags... just write it in white space. So quick.

Ok for school
Yes, I recommend this
I always buy M & S uniform for my Son. These socks, however do have a tendancy to come undone on the top seam of the socks. So a more durable stitching would be better.

We've had some really bad socks in the past - but these are great for the boys for sport. Good elastic, nice thick cotton - will definitely buy again.
