Newton Johnson pinot noir 2009

No, I don't recommend this

This is a very strange wine. It tastes unlike any pinot I have tried from other parts of the world. It is undoubtedly well-made but has a peculiar aftertaste -- kind of smokey and dry (but difficult to describe). I disliked the wine on first tasting it but it definitely had improved by the second day - so maybe needs leaving for longer than normal to really oxygenate it thoroughly. I still didn't like it but it had improved. I can't really recommend it though!
