Perfect 18th Birthday cake

Even better than the usual Colin. Moist and tasty. It was an 18th birthday cake and I’d say it feeds fewer than 40 people. Cut down the middle and then in slices instead of the usual way as it’s so big. We added mini Colins around the giant Colin and stuck faces of my 18 year old’s friends on the little ones. It was brilliant!

Delicious chocolate roll, moist and tasty. Very difficult to cut into 40 slices though mainly due to the chocolate coating that breaks away as soon as it is cut. Our guests ended up with a slice of sponge and then broken pieces of the chocolate coating on top. Very messy to cut, even harder where the feet are attached.

Colin the caterpillar has donned many birthday tables so having a Giant Colin for our combined 100th Birthday celebration (my 70th and my son’s 30th) seemed like the perfect cake to top off the weekend. And it was! Giant Colin fed almost 30 people with some left over. Also had a normal size gluten-free Colin which was also delish. Thank you M&S —always yummy food.

Ordered a giant Colin and got the date wrong (I ordered it a week later than what I needed). Tried to change the date and was told no. Tried to cancel it and was told no. It's crazy that in 2026 that you can't cancel an item. The cake was also dry
