Airflex™ Freshfeet™ Leather Wide Fit Toe Cap Shoes with Silver Technology

These shoes are excellent for every day wear. I walk approx 8 miles a day and they are comfortable straight out of the box. Good value and long lasting.

I have bought Airflex shoes for several years now and have always liked the comfortable style and design. Unfortunately the quality of the material used to make the soles appears to have been downgraded in the past year (it seems to be quite 'rubbery' now and notably less rigid than previously than previous Airflex products). I bought 2 pairs of Airflex shoes in early June 2013 ( including a pair of Airflex™ Leather Wide Fit Toe Cap Shoes ) and the sole split within 3 months of use, which at a purchase price of £49.50 per pair I did not feel was acceptable value. On the positive sidethe M & S store purchased these shoes from did fully reimburse me for this purchase, even though I hadn't retained my receipt which I was grateful for. I hope the material for the soles can be improved to make the shoes as durable as they used to be (earlier pairs have lasted at least one year without splitting in this way).

Same as everyone else, conformable shoes. Then at about 10 weeks the sole split in 2. What I find most annoying is that M&S are still selling the shoes! Stop selling the shoes, it is tarnishing your brand.

Had these shoes for a couple of months and both soles have split. Thought it might have been just my pair, but other reviewers have mentioned this too. Avoid.

Great fit, very comfortable but not good for frequent wear. My first pair of these shoes lasted 8 weeks before they split across the sole. Thinking that I had been unlucky, I exchanged them for an identical pair. The second pair lasted 6 weeks before they split across the sole. I am surprised that they are still being sold (and so are the staff at the M&S store where I bought them)!

I have purchased this product before and lasted really well so two months ago purchased a new pair BUT within 8 weeks the soles have split across the centre very disappointed as no longer have receipt DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT as not the same quality as before

I bought these shoes online mistakenly thinking they were good value - they are not. Within two weeks (11 days to be precise), the sole of both shoes split right across the middle. The shoes have a serious design problem.

Unfortunately I have to echo the other reviewer, who mentioned the design fault with the sole. The uppers are scarcely worn, and there is plenty tread remaining, yet the sole is split all the way through after only a very few months of wear. One will quickly end up "down at heel" forking out £50 for these - best avoided.

Made with genuine leather of good quality. They fit me good ! M & S never lets consumers down !

I purchased these on line as they were similar to ones my husband already had. They turned out to be much narrower, in spite of being the same fitting, so I returned them and we tried to get some in two different stores only to find that if you did not take size nine, or thereabouts, you were out of luck! The assistant at Finsbury Pavement said she could sell lots more of the larger sizes if she could get them. We ended up buying from Clarks. Sorry M&S, we usually can find what we want in your store!

I bought both wide and extra wide in size 6.5 for my husband and both were the same size, ie not extra wide or wide at all. They were returned. I tried size 7 and met the same problem.

These shoes are supposed to be "extra wide", but they're not even wide!

Stylish and comfortable...

I recently purchased these shoes which I found to be amazingly light and comfortable. However, I found they had cracked across the sole from inside to outside the foot following the tread which is it's weakest point. In other words there is clearly a design fault with the patterning of the tread. I have since noticed that tread design has been changed on other similar shoes. This may be a coincidence, but in my opinion they should be withdrawn from sale if there are others with the same problem. I'm taking them back to the store for a replacement. Hopefully!?
