Puff up your coats
Feel anything but flat with this season’s biggest coat trend. Colour run
The fall/winter catwalks were alive with a firework display of colour, popping up among the neutrals to create a sense of boldness and energy. Channel this into your wardrobe with knits in saturated shades, or pants in unexpected colours. Whether it’s neon brights as seen at Versace and Balmain, or unexpected colour combinations like the pink and marigold mash-up from Miu Miu, this season is bright and beautiful.
Deeper shade of blue
If you’re looking for some catwalk inspiration to update your denim this fall, there are only two things you need to know. Firstly, it’s all about indigo shades right now, the dark navy adding a sense of smartness to proceedings. Secondly, skinnies are out and wide-leg jeans are in, whether that’s teamed with a furry bomber jacket à la Dior, or a cute cardigan as seen at Molly Goddard. If you’re nervous about wearing wide-leg jeans, pick a high-waisted style that cinches you in so as not to look baggy all over, and team with heels to elongate the leg.

After enduring the greyest of winters last year, we’re due an overdose of joyful print, and it’s fair to say this season’s runways did not disappoint. From graphic motifs at Louis Vuitton, to beautiful baroque florals at Simone Rocha, the message was clear: it’s time to live vibrantly again.
