Sleep Retreat Bedding

Kate Watson-Smyth

“Design your bedroom for who you are and how you want to live,” says blogger Kate Watson-Smyth. For Kate, this means white washed waffle bedding, good-quality pillows and calming colours with metallic accents to create an elegant and timeless look. Kate hides clutter with clever storage solutions and mixes existing items with new-season accessories to bring in all-important texture and colour. “I have always favoured a simple, almost monochrome bedroom that is, I like to think, zen-like.”

Rebecca Kedgley

Greys, whites and cosy textures give blogger Rebecca Kedgley’s bedroom a serene and understated feel, while flowers, cushions and throws add interest. A good-quality mattress teamed with luxurious but affordable bedding like the Egyptian cotton 230 thread count lays the foundation for year-round comfort. A pom pom knitted throw and matching cushion nod to current trends and add warmth in winter. “I want my bedroom to feel like the ultimate escape and to get the best quality sleep that I can. Being in bed should make you feel at your most relaxed,” she explains.

Bianca Hall

Designer Bianca Hall has used the geometric patterns, contemporary bedding and bold colours to create a vibrant and modern bedroom scheme. Including plenty of storage options helps the room remain clutter-free while bedside lamps, rather than harsh, overhead lighting, give a welcoming glow. “The key to a comfortable, inviting look is to introduce layers and mix textures. Add some luxurious touches like scented candles and fresh flowers,” says Bianca. “Small accessories can make a big impact and good-quality bedlinen is a must.”
