Decanter leads me down the path
No, I don't recommend this
I bought this on the back of a Decanter award (usually trustworthy!), but was fairly disappointed. It is pleasant enough, but the blueberry flavours end up a little tart. No discernible tannins. The flavour lingers, and it is a mellow enough wine. It's perfectly drinkable, but alas no show-stopper.

Great Value Pinot
Yes, I recommend this
I love this wine, great smooth fruit. Although not cheap, you would need to pay double for a Burgundy of this quality.

Pinot noi-aargh
No, I don't recommend this
I don't normally buy North-American wines, but I'd been impressed with the range of wines that M&S offer, which have been of a very high quality. So in a moment of madness, I thought I'd give this a try. Unfortunately, I won't be buying this one again. This is barely recognisable as Pinot Noir and is so sharp and brash that perhaps it could only have come from one place. Where I'd expect a Pinot Noir to be light to medium bodied with a light plummy flavour, this is extremely tart and in your face. Indeed, I can feel it climbing up through my cheek bones to bang on my temples as I type this. Perhaps it's supposed to be knocked back with salt and a lemon.

Pinot Noir is my favourite red grape when marks and Spencer stocked this wine was a case of have to buy a bottle which we did with 5 others;tried this grape from wines from Austria ;Germany;France Italy and so on. Rarely does a wine disappoint as this did in fact the Pinot Nero that mands sell from Italy is a much better wine.So what went wrong;we tried the wine with a roast chicken which is normal;it just had no structure or balance it was an ok wine and average wine that just didn't do much for the pallet really-sorry

A great value Pinot Noir from Oregon.
Yes, I recommend this
Excellent value, lovely flavour. One of the best I have tasted in this price bracket (particularly with the 25 percent discount) and far better than some more expensive wines from the New World. I would certainly recommend trying a bottle.
