Outstanding American Style IPA

Yes, I recommend this

Adnams Brewery produce some wonderful beers and this is no exception. Massive hit of Pine and grapefruit through the aroma and with a punchy hoppy malty flavour. Stunning beer all round and very welcome in the fridge and not just during the winter. An absolute gem of a beer.

Winter Warmer!

Yes, I recommend this

Tastes a little odd at first but it does have a subtle flavour that grows. Tastes like a Christmas cake unfolding on the tastebuds (mixed metaphor, I know, but accurate). As a big fan of English ales and bitters, I do recommend this. And I got speedy delivery and a 25% discount in the post Christmas sale.

Another great IPA from Adnams

Yes, I recommend this

I now firmly believe that Adnams make the best IPA in the UK and therefore possibly the world. This is another stunning example of citrus, hops and malt being combined by a master brewer at the peak of his trade. Great taste and body and deceptively strong. As others have said - "great any time of the year". Well done M&S for picking up on the current crop of great beers from the masters of Southwold :o)

EXCEPTIONAL AND COMPLEX - A HIGH GRAVITY ALE

Yes, I recommend this

This is an unusually complex bitter ale of near barly wine strength. The hop varieties come out in the initial taste but you are left with a malty glow of sweetness as you swallow. Fine to go with strong tasting food and robust cheeses. It has the drinking characteristics of a cask ale and none of the bright fizziness which you might expect from a bottled bitter. Ale connoissuers will be delighted to recieve this as a gift.
