What do they say about the simple things? For me, life’s pleasures certainly lie therein. Just take the examples from this week’s Style & Living. A blazer is the number one wardrobe staple because you can sling it over pretty much anything and you’re fast-tracked to formality. A mini orange tart, packed full of sweet pastry and zesty curd, is simple on the ingredients front but always incredibly delicious. And it doesn’t get much simpler than a cotton nightie, but does anything else feel as familiar, warm and comforting when it’s time to snuggle under the covers? It’s these simple things that simply make us happy, and that’s why they deserve to be celebrated.
Join us in welcoming spring with a one-day wardrobe clear-out. Simply drop any unwanted clothes at the ‘Shwopping’ stations in M&S stores on 12 March; we’ll then pass your items on to Oxfam, where they’ll be recycled or resold to generate funds for its campaigns. As a thank you – and to help you reinvigorate your newly tidy closet – you’ll receive a voucher for £5 off when you spend £35 in store, which means you can shop once you’ve Shwopped.
