Luxurious Pure Cashmere Long Dressing Gown

I have had one of these dressing gowns for 18 months - the result of some very pointed hints to my husband for my birthday. I love it to bits and if anything happened to it (although it is looked after carefully) I would replace it tomorrow. The inner tie does stay tied as long as you tie it firmly and I do loop the belt back onto itself so it doesn't come undo - it does need to be firmly tied being silk. However if fits beautifully and it is lovely and warm - I spent a long time looking out for a full length cashmere dressing gown - at a reasonable price. This fitted the bill. I think its a classic and I wouldn't be without it. Hugely recommended by me.

*Small - I expected this to be more generous for a wrap-over style. * the inner ribbon does not keep the wrap closed; this needs to be wider and longer. Disappointed with purchase - the wrap has been returned.

Gown fits well and the cashmere texture gives feeling of warmth. The style is very flattering and the lightness of the gown is fantastic. The silk ribbon tie, compliments the gown in both style and looks. Feel very special wrapped in my gown snuggled in front of the fire with my book.

I was very reluctant when I bought this and thought a cashmere dressing gown could be fancy enough to turn me. And it did, in spades! This is glorious as it is so soft, the cut is so good and flattering that you could wear it out with a deep V front (if you were very brave), the belt and tie inside work perfectly. Others have said the opposite but it works perfectly for me, my size 10 frame and bust. I am a HUGE fan, please keep up the good work.

Went for this due to the convenience of click and collect and the reasonable price. Both of which delivered. (though quite broad size bands and would have been nice to have a larger size on offer). This is not a practical item... and maybe a cashmere robe is never meant to be. If you lounge in it without moving it is great I am sure - but it doesn't have a generous enough wrap over and as mentioned the internal tie is flimsy and ineffective. So it is gaps open a lot. Maybe Rosie doesn't have that problem. What I would like though is something, anything, that stops it looking like a long plain cardigan. Maybe a collar or turn back cuffs. It is plain to the point of basic. Really really miss a pocket and a hood would be amazing to really allow a cosy warm snug feel.

I had the mink colour gown as a Christmas present three years ago and loved it. Sadly, it got washed at a too high temperature by accident. I have been steeling myself to replace it - really wanted same colour but only black has been available for some while. This is an expensive item, but it is far nicer than alternatives. It has a lovely shape and the cashmere is lofty and soft and doesn't pill. If you choose the right wash programme and use woolite it comes out good as new, if you can bear to take it off ......... Please bring back the mink or better yet, a cream version - even grey would be nice. Long length is essential for really luxurious experience..

Soo lucking forward to this item but as previous reviews I have to go along with them and agree that the belt would have a job keeping fastened and being pure silk horribly creased, would have been a lot better if it had been made in cashmere,not enough material for wrapping around you, you have to fasten it tightly with the inside ribbon but I can't see those ribbons lasting long. Too much effort required to keep your modesty!!

This garment is so, so cosy and elegant that I look forward to the evening time when I can wear it - no fear of the doorbell ringing and an unexpected visitor arriving! It looks so good that my husband thought it was to wear when going to visit our friends for dinner the evening it arrived!

I thought about purchasing this dressing gown for sometime before taking the plunge; as it is a considerable amount to pay for a dressing gown. However, i took the plunge and bought the product. It is sumptuous and I love it, but as other people have commented, it needs a better inside tie ribbon, pockets, and also a loop to help the main ribbon in-situ. Other than just customers reading feedback, perhaps it is time to act on previous purchasers comments Marks and Spencer; and improve your product according to customers wishes.

I bought the beige version of this dressing gown a while ago and have now bought it in black. I am a size 8 and the original fitted me perfectly; the new one (size 8 - 10) is a little bigger and not as snug a fit - which is a little disappointing. The quality of the beige dressing gown is excellent - after well over a year and several dry cleans - there is no 'bobbling' at all (which I do get with M&S cashmere jumpers). I wish there were more colours (pink / pale blue?)

Love this cashmere robe. it's sophisticated and elegant while being warm and cosy. I bought the matching trousers too which are also fab.

This is a beautiful wrap, BUT - buy a size bigger than you are. I bought the 12 to 14 as I am a size 12. It gaped open and was far too small. After some thought because these are expensive, I ordered the 16 to 18 and it fits perfectly! I will also be puting a stitch into the belt to keep it in place as it is slippy fabric and needs attaching to the wrap on the edge. Very warm and comfortable and looks much much nicer than a towelling robe or a onesie (but then lets faceit, everything looks better than a onesie!)
