No, I don't recommend this
The waistband has elastic stitched to the inside, which my wife tells me is the cheapest way of doing it. The white elastic is next to your skin. There is no drawstring to take over from the elastic if/when it fails. And there is no pocket in the trousers. A pair I bought from a big supermarket at the same time for almost half the price had the waist cotton wrapped around the elastic, and two trouser pockets (but no drawstring). It's important to add that the Marks fabric is much better though. It's more comfortable and doesn't crease badly when worn or in the wash. The last M&S pyjamas I bought (t-shirt style) had cotton around the elastic, a drawstring and two trouser pockets. They really do seem to be cutting corners now, to keep the cost down, but I'm not sure consumer prices reflect the lower cost.

I bought these for myself, everyone seems to review how they bought them for their Grandad, but I am only 34 and myself and my Wife love to cozy up in pjs to watch tv in the evenings. These PJs are very comfortable, especially after a wash and a quick press. They are quite a loose fit and allow nice movement without getting twisted under the arms etc. They are a bit of a darker blue then what they appear in the picture, but a nicer blue to my personal taste. They look heavy weight but in fact feel just right. For me personally the overall feel is quality, and being 100% cotton they should soften up the more they are washed and become even more comfy. Very happy and pleased with my choice.

No, I don't recommend this
I was so angry when I opened the parcel containing these P/J's. The online picture shows them as - Light Blue The wording describe them as - Pale Blue What do you get - Mid / Dark Blue !!!! Nothing like PALE blue as described. How can you get it so wrong. Someone needs to take a good look and get this false description changed. It is so annoying -and a waste of everybody's time and money. I did not even bother to unpack them to try on. Just packed them up to return. Regards

Good in every other way but not pale blue - much darker so sent back. M&S used to do pale blue cotton pyjamas - why not know. They are a classic, lots of quality brands offer numerous versions. It is like ladies white nightdresses there should always be one option.
