My daughter loved this skirt and it is very good quality. The only problem is the waistband. It fitted fine when she was stood up , but as soon as she tried to bend over or sit down it was far too tight and uncomfortable. If it had been half elasticated it would have been perfect. We had to return it.

As other reviewers have said, this skirt is too long and at least 4-5cm longer than the equivalent skirt with the 'regular' size waist. As my daughter 'doesn't want to look like a nun' (!) after trying the regular skirt, and not wanting her to roll it up several times, I thought I would be crafty and get the plus size in a year smaller. Has not worked. Waist is huge and length longer. Now going to try 2 years smaller.

My daughter is quite short and round enough on her tummy to not quite fit the standard size. So we tried this in her actual age and also the two sizes below and all were ridiculously long. All returned, quite disappointed. However, price and quality were good.

The skirt is a tad long, but she's growing very quickly and will probably last her that bit longer than her others. Plenty of room on the waistband. My daughter is 7 and I got the size up because I didn't know how generous the sizes are. I could have done with a 7-8, which would have fit perfectly. Very pleased overall. Will be ordering more!

The quality of this school skirt is excellent however it was very differcult to find a skirt that is plus size that is also longer as this does not seem to be an option for m &s which is a great shame as the girls these days seem to be much taller and larger and the skirts available only come in a very short lenght . The fit was very tight.

This was a great fit for an 11 year old who likes a nice style of school skirt with a comfortable fit. The same skirt in the non plus fit did not fit her but this plus size fits her perfectly. Well done M&S for realising not all children have the same shape bodies and for the choice in fit. Will definately buy again from this range. Length was good and quality excellent

Out of the two longer length plus sized skirts, this one aged 15-16 years was more of a perfect fit for my daughter. I only purchased one, and now I'm kicking myself as I need to get another one but it's been showing as out of stock for ages. Can't find it in the shops either! The length is just right for her (she's only 13!) and it looks very smart on. Obviously I haven't washed it yet, so can't say for sure how it will wear afterwards, but I'm confident about it. Just one gripe? Please get more in stock asap!!

Why does this not come in Navy???

My child's school uniform is blue. To ensure that her skirt fits and is in the right colour, I have to order a teenagers size skirt, BUT if plus fit did a navy skirt, she would be in the right size for her age. Come on M&S, I can't be the only customer who must be saying this to you? Why don't you do your Plus Fit in Navy? Not every school wears BLACK & GREY!!!
