These could be slightly roomier I had to go up to 13-14 for my son who will be nine in July. He still fits in bhs age 10 generous fit but are too short now and needed a replacement. They do wash well

Hi I have now tried every size shirt for my son who is 14 and slim but has quite broad shoulders. He has some M & S school shirts which fit fine but they were bought last year and I think were an end of line. The new shirts we keep trying seem to be very small in the arm holes (they are smaller than his current shirts even though the new ones are a bigger size - I don't understand why so I think we will have to try a different brand

Had these shirts last year. Washed and tumble dried really well. After a full school year of wear the shirts were still in great condition - buying next size up as sleeves were getting too short. My son is broad and has no interest in slim fit fashion, he just wants to be comfortable. These shirts give him the room he wants without drowning him (which for example the BHS plus fit shirts did when he tried theirs)

White shirts not was white as usual

Everything is good about these shirts and they are a good fit for a sturdy child, no need to go up a size, tend to be true to age size. They would be excellent value for money if they were properly white and not so stiff. I have bought the M & S white school shirts many times in the past, however I have just opened the packet for the new term and they are not as brighter white as they have been previously. They appear to have a pinkish 'tinge' and are not as crisp and as cleaner white as I expect from a brand new shirt. The fabric is stiff - I have washed the shirts twice now, tumble dried and ironed them - they are no softer, nor any whiter. The shirts that my son wore all last year are still whiter than these! I am now trying to source some white school shirts, of a generous fit from alternative source for the start of term as these are uncomfortable to wear and look grubby! M & S - please rectify the quality for next year please!

Fantastic fit for my strapping son, quality you expect from M&S, amazing value for money - pretty much half the price of Next shirts which I have previously bought. Only grumble would be I didn't find them as crease free as I was expecting after reading other reviews.
