Perfect work skirt
Yes, I recommend this
Love this skirt - very flattering A-line style and the tweed finish makes it look a bit different whilst still neutral. Also can be dressed down with boots for a casual look. Great wardrobe staple.

Nice Skirt

Picked this one up in the navy (black does not suit me). It's a size 16 as the 14 was a bit small, but it does fit well and looks good with the 21" length coming down to the top of my knees. The fabric is lighter than I was expecting given the look of it, so I think it's more spring/summer wear as it's liable to be a little too light for autumn/winter. The metallic part of things is a bit difficult to see, but it is there. The light elements that can be seen in the photos are white/ivory, but if you look carefully there is a fine metallic thread running through the fabric. It's difficult to see, but maybe it needs a brighter day for it to be picked out.

Had I seen this on line first I wouldn't have considered it - don't like the sound of metallic - but as it happened was walking through a store and it caught my eye - and is not metallic at all - I would call it flecked - great for spring - lighter weight than a lot of skirts but still lined - I know I will gets lots of wear out of it.

A lovely skirt, but ......

A lovely skirt, nice quality and style, but sits quite a bit higher on the waist than other M & S 'A' line skirts that I've purchased. Consequently it rides up after sitting #on me anyway#.

Lovely skirt but a bit small for size
Yes, I recommend this
I'm not sure why they call this 'metallic' - it's more like a sort of linen-y tweed to me... Anyway, I loved this skirt and bought it in both black and blue, but it's a bit on the tight size. I'm usually a size 8-10 in M & S skirts and trousers but the 10 was just too small. The waistband first beautifully but is quite deep and the rest of the skirt is sort of 'eased' into it (not gathered). The effect is sort of a bit bunchy just below the waist... not very flattering. That said, I do love the skirt and will certainly try on a 12 as an alternative and hope that fits.

Great!

Nice skirt and useful addition to my wardrobe that can be worn with many coloured tops. I,m 5 ft 3 and length 21 is just above my knee. Great with black opaque tights. there is a very slight sparkle in the fabric that adds interest but it can still be worn throughout winter months and not just at Christmas.

Metallic effect A-line skirt

Don't be mis-lead by it's title. There is nothing metallic about this skirt! But that suited me fine. Nice skirt. Looks smart with boots. Good quality. I'm 5'7" and it's possibly about an inch shorter than I'd like it to be for my height, but still OK. Careful sitting down in it! The lining makes it slide up a bit high - make sure you've decent knickers on!

No metallic effect
No, I don't recommend this
I couldn't work out how it was supposed to have a metallic effect, it was black and white. The material was a bit thin too so it was returned.
