Short dated
No, I don't recommend this
Product is good, however low rating due to shelf life. This item is best before August 2018, I would of thought it would have longer

Yes, I recommend this
Recommending a beer on a site such as this is a minefield - but I do feel after reading the only other review of Meantime's Boadicea that I should add some balance. This is a good quality beer which I've picked up regularly from the shelves of my local M&S in the last six months. Admittedly, it's no 'hop bomb' - but at the strength it packs a decent amount of flavour. And the price per bottle is very reasonable, set against what you'd pay for it if it were available on draught - especially in London, where of course this is brewed!

I purchased this in the expectation that it would possibly be as good as the Adnams, Elgoods or the Castle Rock single hop varieties. Unfortunately that was not the case. Far too fizzy and that detracts from any taste this may have. It could be a nice "summer" beer if they sorted out their CO2 problem which just makes this taste like "pop" :o(
