Girls' Drop Waist Crease Resistant Fashion Skirt with Stormwear+™

I bought this skirt for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it. Excellent fit and short enough that she is happy with the length! Washes well and doesn't need ironing.

I have bought this school skirt for the last 2 years and its always been great. However, my daughter's school have now outlawed it on the grounds it is too short! She's a standard age 13 girl but school rules now dictate that all school skirts should be knee length and looking at M&S's this year, they all sit well above the knee!! I tried to buy the longer length but guess what? They're all out of stock! Am I right in assuming that other mum's are having a similar problem? So …. my ratings are contradictory - we love the style, quality and value for money but sadly it's too short for school.

I ordered this & another style school skirt for my 12 year old daughter in an age 13. Lovely skirts but way too short. My daughter is of average height but these barely cover her upper thighs. Had to return them for something more modest & age appropriate.

My daughter has had three of these skirts over the last 2 years we found them very good to wash hold there shape etc . longer length was found to be the most acceptable not to long and not to short being average height this was just right for her and school. My problem is the poor quality zip on them we have found that they jam at the point very often where the drop waist seam comes across and she has not been able to sort this sometimes until arriving home at no time has she caught any material in it to cause the problem . Very disappointing . My other issue is that on none of the skirts details is the length given surly to measure from waist to hem would give everybody help schools have strict length policy very poor size guide . I might add that this skirt appears no longer available in the longer size would be five stars but for zip

I looked everywhere to get a school skirt for my daughter, that was good in quality, had a larger waist and accurate knee length. M&S was the only retailer that came close! The size, quality and length is accurate with today's sizes.

My daughter loves the style of this skirt but the zip pull is small and has previously come off

I bought these for my 11 year old twin girls as they required black skirts for their choir. They both have very different tastes (one being very against wearing skirts of any kind!) however they both love them. They come up quite short but this is specified in the description and so we were expecting them to be so. They look very stylish and are very flattering, they only wished they had had them for their school skirts! Great purchases.

This is the 2nd one of these skirts I have bought for my 14 year old and I have also bought one for my 11 year old too! Both my daughters are slim so the elasticated waist is great. They wash well and pleats stay in you tumble dry and take out and shake immediately so no need ironing. They come up fairly short, but not too short to be indecent as long as you're of average height which both my daughters are. I went for the next age size up for an extra inch in length but as you can alter the waist they are perfect. Last a long time too. Last one for 2 years!!

We looked all over for a skirt that was black, hung nicely, washed well and didn't need to be presses all the time. We couldn't find it here at home in Canada...it is perfect! Search over!

I bought 3 of these for my daughter and she really likes them, they're a good fit and long enough as long as they're worn with thick black tights. I didn't find the pleats to be as permanent as implied but it wasn't too much trouble to iron them back in.

Bought largest size (age 16) and though looked short it was the largest size available. First day today was sent home to get changed as the school said it was too short (the school is urban comprehensive so not that fussy). Very disappointed to have spent money on school uniform that is not fit for purpose. Nice skirt - good quality just wouldn't recommend if your daughter is tall.

my daughter has been wearing this skirt for 2 years now and loves it its a great style and the buttons are a pretty design i would recommend this to any friends! -only downside is that it comes quite large around the waist but problem can be solved by tightening skirt!

fantastic skirt but on the small size, my daughter is 12 but the skirt was quite a lot smaller then average, recommend a larger size than normal for a good fit
