I had purchased this in the petitie size as I am 5ft 2 but it was too short for my liking - sat above the knees. I rhen purchased the standard size 10 and it was a perfect sizing sitting just on the knee. the lace and cut is beautiful and a beautiful shade of midnight blue. only small matter - the hoops for closing at the neck are difficult to open and close when wearing - and reaching behind the neck to use.

I loved this dress and wore it to a winter wedding. I think it looked nice and Navy is such a forgiving colour. It is exceptional value for money. It is as other reviewers have said it is a little tight on top, so a bigger bust may not suit this style. I went up a size to compensate for this and it worked. A lovely dress - more the same. Saw this whilst browsing in town but didn't buy as I had not shopped around. After looking around a few other shops I decided that the quality, style and fit was more me and represented good value for money so I ordered online via the Sparks app. Very good service as always with click and collect at my local store. Pleased with the fit - with all the Christmas parties I might need to choose my underwear carefully, but it fitted ok upon arrival and will really swing by the February annual dinner as I had dp ft this to be a popular item for going out this season!

I am 4'11" size 8 and short waisted. The style of this dress fitted me perfectly as there is no defined waist. The length was just on my knee not too long or too short just what I wanted. It fitted me well around the bust but for the fuller bust may be a shade too tight. The overall quality of the dress was what I would expect for what it cost. The only improvement for me would be if the blue was a little brighter.

I bought this dress in my local store. Loved it as soon as I saw it. As an older lady I liked the high neck having had a mastectomy and the three quarter sleeves to cover my arms but when trying it on, it was above my knees and I'm only 5'2". Come on M & S, most of your customers are older so please let's have something modern like this with different lengths to choose from.

This is a nice dress for the pub, a meal, in fact anywhere. As said by the others, the neck is slightly snug, but i haven't found it uncomfortable and it makes jewellery look good against it
