these seemed like lovely shoes and i would recommend them, they are pretty, look nice on and with discount at time of purchase were a bargain, however my daughter felt they were not grown up enough she is 7 so we returned them so i cannot comment on wear and tear. fit was true to size.

Purchased for my daughter who has and average shoe size. Unfortunately they were too tight for her feet width wise. They looked very nice and of good quality. If I had purchased a size up they would have been too long.

I returned these as despite looking great my Daughter found them stiff and uncomfortable on her wide feet.

Bought these as first school shoes and 12 weeks on they still look brand new. They were a good fit, and the great quality so far.

I chose these over other brands because of the style and fit. My daughters first school shoes which she loved and I thought looked very smart. Just 5 weeks of school has left them in a very poor state. The toes are completely stripped of the patent covering, yes, I know kids scrape their toes but they are supposed to scuff resistant. Both straps have come apart to show Velcro, lining then the patent strap. The soles have worn on the heel and if they were able to be worn I am sure the heels would have holes within another week or so of wear. I cannot find the receipt in order to return these shoes and have had to buy another pair. It is such a shame as they were lovely looking, comfortable shoes and I expected them to last a lot longer, especially as my daughter has always outgrown shoes before they were worn through. Previous patent M&S shoes actually look unworn despite being worn for a much longer period. Very disappointed.

These shoes were for my daughter. Having had patent shoes and then normal, the patent coating definitely last better than the normal finish especially at infant school stage. These would be my preference in future. However, as with all school shoes they tend to ware through on the heal before she outgrows them.

My daughter has been wearing these shoes for 9 weeks now and they are already worn through to holes In the soles and scuffed beyond belief. She isn't particularly hard on her shoes so these are obviously not fit for purpose and I will be returning them at the weekend.

These shoes fit my daughter's (quite wide) feet perfectly and are great value for money. I would definitely buy the size up when her feet grow.

They fit great ordered a small 12 as 12 regular would be too big. So happy when tried on the fit was perfect as I ordered online. They will have to stand the test of time, with the scratch resistance. But so far overall happy

Lovely school shoes. My daughter loves the spotty inner lining and butterfly soles.

This is a really lovely shoe that offers quality and longevity. It is well made and sturdy while keeping it attractive. The only downside to this shoe in my opinion is the toe area is so hard that it makes it difficult to push down to find where the child's toes are so I am reliant on my 3 year old to tell me whether they fit or not. They appear to come up true to size (having measured my child's feet before buying). I will certainly be buying future school shoes from M&S.

The shoe looked lovely and the fit was excellent. However the shoes did show signs of scuffing after the first wear. Perhaps a three tear old is not a fair tester for the anti scuff element of this product.

The shoes look very well made, the comfort is questionable though. Feel very hard and are quite wide as well, my daughter has very narrow feet, so will be returning the shoes.
