Floral Print A-Line Midi Skirt

I have several M&S trousers, and a skirt that I bought this winter, all in size 10. I bought this one in size 10, and alas, it was much too small. I laid down this skirt on top of my other M&S size 10 skirt, and their waist lengths are completely different, even though they are of very similar designs and both are supposed to sit right around the waist. What a pity. Otherwise I liked the colourful pattern and the nice A-line shape. Returned the item to the shop.

So there I was in the Marble Arch store so excited to be trying on the last fabulous skirt in my size and with no skirt in the next size up just in case. I had tried on the matching jacket too which was a perfect fit. I know I could stand to lose a pound or two, but trying to get into this skirt brought to mind an ancient advert for a girdle: be five pounds thinner! I am not sure that would have been enough in this case. And shape-wear and summer warmth don't always mix well. So disappointing. I would have lived with the lack of lining and unlike a few other reviewers, I just loved the material, but then I have always been a bit quirky. Do the buyers not use measuring tapes to check sizes out? I have a spare one which I would be happy to send if M&S has run out.

Beautiful print, but the fabric is awful. Very shiny and plasticy...also quite see-through! It doesn't breathe and sticks straight out due to lack of weight. The skirt is unlined, so you would have to add a slip underneath to make it decent. An unlined, plasticy skirt for £55? No thank you! Back it went.

Having purchased this season's Autograph hi-low skirt in the khaki and navy print skirt at £55.00 which I loved, I thought I would try this one. Online this looks a fabulous patterned material, but upon receipt it turned out to be a shiny thin material like cheap curtains, and not even lined for £55.00. The colours are lovely but the quality of the material and lack of lining lets it down for me. Sadly I had to return this one for this reason. I am a 10 and I ordered a 10 but the fit on the waist was skimpy with no give in the material, another reason for returning it

Sadly this skirt was disappointing and had to be returned. I have two similar with flattering longer back and front pleat; this however had two pleats at the side which fell open making me look huge. Fabric was a tad sheeny

i fell in love with this online and when i saw it in store i just had to have it. it's a beautiful skirt, the colours are nice and vibrant, i am a size 16 but got it in the 18 as i like my skirts quite full and midi, i am glad i did as i got exactly what i was going for. might get the jacket too.
