Double Breasted Belted Coat

This is just such a lovely coat, I usually stick to quilted or puff jackets for the winter and although I don't think it will be warm enough if it is really cold it will be great for the spring. I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it which is unusual for me in the coat department I tend to just be practical. The style colour and fit are just great for me I did go up a size but only because I know Per una is quite a snug fit. Well done M&S

I loved this coat from the moment I saw it - the colour was just perfect, it had no wool content (very hard to find a stylish winter coat not made of wool) and the styling was amazing. Unfortunately the cut is a little on the small side and my bum looked like it could have rivalled Kim Kardashian! Very hard to send back, but back it had to go

Beautiful on the hanger but very small fit, especially across bust. Ordered a size larger than usual, which fits across bust but is bigger elsewhere. On me, looks much nicer with belt removed, as soft material means that belt makes fabric pucker unless done up really loosely. Agree with others that buttons would be much nicer than poppers and two top buttons are wasted under the lapels. But lovely colour and nice length and fabric so couldn't bear to return it and will wear it without the belt. Probably best on a less curvy figure than mine, so would only recommend to skinny friends!

I love teh materiala dn colour of this coat, but i could not keep it. The buttons fell at fullest part of my chest and therefore it looked bad.

Fabulous coat, fits great, couldn't wear anything too thick or bulky underneath, but then you wouldn't need to. It can be worn smart with a dress or casual with jeans/trousers. The gorgeous colour makes it even more special - I love it :)

I bought this online and was looking forward to its arrival. However, I was very pleased BUT the size 16 was much too small. I am a standard 16. I ordered a size 18 before returning the size 16 coat. This coat was no longer on offer and I paid the higher price but on contacting M & S I was told the difference in price would be refunded. The stitching detail (on the back as well as the front) is superb. I love this coat; it shouts quality and the Pale Blue is lovely. The bigger size fits perfectly. .

You will not need a big warm jumper under this coat as it's so warm, the material is lovely and soft and the colour very pretty. So far I keep saving it for best so I need to get it on a lot more ! I love it a really nice jacket that I think if looked after could be timeless. If I had any gripe it would be that being quite busty I find the two highest buttons are a bit too high , I may do what someone on here a has said and move them down a touch... I'm a 14/16 and bought the 16, it's a snug fit to be honest but looks really smart and not uncomfortably snug .

I bought this coat for my daughter who had viewed it online. She was thrilled with the colour and with the quality. It is a snug fit though. Not enough to go up a size

I saw this coat on the TV ad first and was delighted to see one in our local store as I thought it was gorgeous! However when I tried it on in size 12 (I am normally a 10 but they only had that one on the returns rail) it was very snug where you do it up/across the chest/back as others have stated. I was very suprised as I expected it to be roomy as it was a larger size than I usually buy. I was really in two minds whether to buy it as I loved it so much but do not think it would fit well with a jumper etc which is crazy as most 12's in M&S are loose on me. At the time as there was only one to try I thought that must be the reason for it being in our store as it wlas a mis-sized item and decided to order one online when I got home. In trying to do just that I saw there were only larger sizes in stock so I couldn't do so. Since reading the reviews I am reluctant to order if the stock is available as I think it is more than likely just very bad sizing on this item. Hopefully M&S will read these comments as the coat is obviously attracting buyers but the sizing is not consistent with their other items. Real shame - but if I see another to try I am going to just for peace of mind as I do love the design and colour and if it does fit then I would buy.

Loved the styling but returning because the coat is just so heavy, uncomfortably so. I also found the sizing very big. Shame.

Fit was unusually poor on top. Im usually a size 8 but needed more room across the shoulders. The bottom was too flared and did nothing for my small frame. Fabric was also disappointing. This coat went straight back.

Ordered this coat online after seeing the TV Ad. Very excited when it arrived so fast, but disappointment soon overtook when I took it out of the box. Horrendous cheap feeling fabric. The buttons could have been so much better as they are just fronts so when coat is open you've got great big plastic poppers on the left hand side. WHY! I can only see that this would work in the case of the other reviewer who moved the buttons down (basically remaking the coat) as she felt they were too high. I don't go to M&S pay £99 for a DIY coat. So back it went today and my winter coat hunt continues. Agree with others that you may need to go a size up & due to button position not great if you're busty.

This coat is the loveliest shade of pale blue in a soft and cosy material which will be warm in the coming autumn days. It is a beautiful coat and I love wearing it.
