Denim Jacket

At last, a denim jacket that isn't blue. Love it, could have been slightly bigger to enable a thin cardi to have been worn with it. Also, would have liked side pockets, but still a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

Only thing l didn't like about jacket are the sleeves are a little too long maybe should be at least 5 cams shorter.

Bought the soft white which is a lovely, useful shade. Probably a little thicker material than I anticipated but, nevertheless, have kept as I expect to find it very useful when the weather gets a little cooler.

Lovely jacket. This fits me well and looks great with jeans and a dress. The colour is not white but off white and I think that makes it more versatile. The material is good cotton which I’m sure will survive many washes. I look forward to wearing it for many years, in fact I have been complimented on it by my friends .

This was a very nice colour and quality jacket. I wanted a jacket to slip on over a summer dress. Unfortunately the Style of the jacket meat it ‘drowned’ the dress. It needed to be a more fitted style and slightly shorter. I am quite a petite person, maybe it would be fine on a larger frame.

Nice little casual jacket. Bought it in cream with 20% off and I think it was a bit of a bargain! Looks nice on.

I found the jacket sleeves a little tight on the first jacket so called Customer Services and was looked after by a young man called Danny. I explained I liked the jacket but there might be a quality issue with one sleeve. Danny swapped the jacket out immediately and I had the replacement within 24 hours and...it fitted. Problems like the one I experienced will always happen but it is the mark of excellent service when dealing with the problems that sets retailers apart, well done m & S, well done Danny

The blue is quite bulky, hard and thick with very narrow sleeves. I would have not been able to wear anything with sleeves under it. Although the rest fitted really well. Good quality material and nicely made but let down by the dreadful brown shading on the pockets and seams. More suitable as a autumn or winter jacket due to the weight of the material. I can only think the shading affects some and not others as only a few people have commented on it - and I'm sure that they would. Not for me as it looked too scruffy, but if that's the look you want ....

This jacket brightens up outfits and adds a bit of warmth whilst still looking summery. I do think that the colour is better described as 'natural white' or even cream, rather than white, but I am happy with the colour. Denim jackets can be a bit skimpy in styling, so I sized up for a generous fit, but that is personal preference. I am very pleased with this purchase and would have rated it five stars if it had side pockets to slip your hands in.

The denim is too heavy for a summer jacket. The jacket appears bulky, and together with the big collar and pocket flaps, it swamps the smaller frame, especially over lighter summer tops and dresses. The jacket would look more neat with a Nero collar, or no collar, and in a more light-weight denim. The addition of a light-weight lining would make it easier to throw on too.

The item fitted and looked fine. However, the denim was quite stiff and when compared with my previous denim jacket did not match up in terms of style and fabric. I have returned it.

I’ve tried both 12 & 14 both are big as I’ve said on last review you need to sort machists out to measure properly
